
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her debut role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. She went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016), and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman was a major character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both of the series. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico as the daughter of an Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. She is a U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4] She is a U.S. citizen through her father. Her brother is a baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman married actress Barbara Mori Sigman. Before making her film debut at Rio de Oro, she began her career as Mexican TV star. She played the role of Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. The film was picked for consideration as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards,[7][8] but it was not on the shortlist. For her performance in the film Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. In 2011, she starred in Catalina Aguado, the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer the film, the Norwegian thriller.
