Zoe Saldana (born June 19 1978) was the daughter of Asalia Saldana & Aridio Saldana, who reside in Passaic New Jersey. Her father is Dominican as was her mother, while her father is Puerto Rican. Her parents raised her at home in Queens, New York. After she turned 10 years old, she and her parents relocated to the Dominican Republic. They lived in the Dominican Republic for seven more years. Zoe began to develop a fascination to dance while in the Dominican Republic. Her first training was in the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy, where she studied ballet as well as other types of dance.
