Ariel Tweto, of Native American heritage was born to Jim Tweto in Unalakleet Alaska USA on December 14, 1987. At birth, she was given the name Arieleva Tuadraq-Atauchaq Tweto. There is a sister named Alya Tweto. Her father, who was a professional hockey player in Alaska trying to generate an interest in his sport got to know her mother. He was able to meet and fall in love with her mother and they went on to establish aviation in Era Alaska. Ariel as well as Alya were raised in Nome the city in Alaska. She was a student at Emerson College before graduating from Chapman University. Ariel's acting career began at a young age, when she was a part of the show Wipeout. Her fame was boosted by the episode where she asks for a pole she cannot be able to see, but it's right in front of her. When the filmmakers saw that the attention of the public was in her, they contacted the Tweto family to create an documentary on the family living in Alaskan wilderness. Her father Jim is skeptical, but allows cameras to be filmed on his work. Era Alaska still operates as the company of his bush pilots. Flying Wild Alaska was a big hit in the Discovery Channel because it showed the struggles that the Tweto family is facing with their company. It's thrilling to watch Americans living in a wilderness-like setting. The struggle between humans and sometimes brutal nature causes fans to celebrate along with the Twetos in their triumphs as well as sympathize with the loss. Jim's wife Ferno is in charge of everything on the ground and Jim takes a seat in the bush pilot's chair. Ariel enjoys a positive attitude in all of this. Ariel's father Jim as well as her mother Ferno are both pilots, so it's only normal for Ariel to have an interest to fly from an early age. The 2011-2012 season of Flying Alaska is a follow-up for Ariel in her training in order to be a professional pilot. The final step is to earn her pilot's licence in April of 2012. Then she takes over the running of the company's family-owned flying operation following the death of her father. One of the biggest problems facing the majority of Alaskans is the high rates of suicide in teens which is up to seven times the national average. Ariel was inspired to co-found an organization called Popping Bubbles. In this charity, she goes to the youth and school forums to tell them why it is important to have dreams and live life to the fullest instead of succumbing to depression.
