In 2017 Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it was the top-streamed track during the course of the space of six months. It was a combination of pop and reggaeton that not only drew attention to Latin Music but also reggaeton. In 2015, there were two mostly songs with Spanish lyrics on the Billboard Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. At the height of Despacito's popularity 19, 19 songs mostly in Spanish have made it into the Billboard Top 100. In 2020, it will have 41 tracks that fall into this category. After Justin Bieber's remix in two languages to Despacito (2017) popular artists began to collaborate with reggaeton artists, including Drake and Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) as well as Madonna together with Maluma on Medellin (2019). In the year 2020, a handful of reggaeton artists were expressing displeasure at its inclination towards mainstream. However, a younger generation of performers, including Rauw Alejandro, aimed to continue the evolution of reggaeton. He often used electronic dance as well as different types.
